The TOYOTA HARRIER is a luxury midsize crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by Toyota Motor Corporation. This is an early model of the TOYOTA HARRIER. It was developed as "a crossover SUV that combines the ride and comfort of a luxury sedan", and the first model was released in 1997. It was a pioneering model that introduced the new genre of "luxury crossover SUVs" and was later followed by numerous follow-on models from manufacturers around the world. As such, it is synonymous with Toyota's flagship luxury large crossover SUV.
