HINO MELPHA
The HINO MELPHA fills the space between smaller minibuses and full-size coaches, giving operators useful passenger capacity without requiring a large coach. Hino describes the current MELPHA as combining agile operation with a spacious interior, while Japanese used models offer several generations and configurations.
Earlier used examples include KK-RR1JGEA and KK-RR1JJEA model codes equipped with the J08C diesel engine. An RR1JGEA exported by EVERYCAR.jp had a 7,961 cc J08C and 29 seats, showing one configuration aimed at group passenger transport. See also: HINO MELPHA KK-RR1JGEA with J08C engine.
Later RR7-series models use different engines. The BDG-RR7JJBA has been documented with the J07E diesel engine at approximately 6.4 liters. See also: HINO MELPHA BDG-RR7JJBA with J07E engine. Seating capacity for individual vehicles varies according to interior configuration. Because model codes, engines, transmissions, and passenger layouts changed over time, buyers should verify the specifications of each bus rather than treating all MELPHA models as mechanically identical.
The MELPHA is particularly relevant to tourism and charter operators. See also: Hino Melpha tourist bus guide. Depending on specification, used vehicles may offer reclining passenger seats, luggage storage, air conditioning, and other equipment useful for sightseeing or group travel. Other configurations can suit hotel transfers, corporate transportation, school services, or regional passenger routes.
When comparing a used HINO MELPHA, check the full model code, engine model, transmission, seating capacity, mileage, overall dimensions, and interior layout. Passenger seats, air-conditioning equipment, doors, luggage compartments, and other onboard features should also be checked according to the intended operation.
