MITSUBISHI SUPER GREAT
The MITSUBISHI FUSO SUPER GREAT is the heavy-duty model in the FUSO truck range. Mitsubishi Fuso introduced the Super Great name in 1996, and the model has since evolved through several generations. This long production history gives overseas buyers access to a broad selection of Japanese used trucks with different engines, chassis layouts, body configurations, and transmissions.
Engine choice varies substantially by generation. Earlier used examples can be found with engines such as the 6M70, while later generations introduced the 6R10. The major 2017 redesign brought the 10.7-liter 6R20 and 7.7-liter 6S10 engines together with the 12-speed ShiftPilot automated manual transmission. Mitsubishi Fuso fully remodeled the Super Great again in 2023 and added the 12.8-liter 6R30. Buyers should therefore confirm the engine model and transmission of each truck individually.
The Super Great is also available in many configurations for different industries. Japanese used stock includes flatbeds for large cargo, dumps for construction and aggregate transport, container carriers, tractor heads for semi-trailers, and other specialized bodies. Chassis and axle arrangements also differ according to application, so two trucks with the same Super Great name may have very different operating capabilities.
Model codes found in the used market include FP, FR, FS, and FV-series configurations, among others. See also: MITSUBISHI SUPER GREAT KL-FR50JGR with 6M70 engine. These codes relate to different chassis arrangements and specifications, so payload, gross vehicle weight, wheelbase, drivetrain, and body dimensions should never be assumed from the model name alone.
When selecting a Used MITSUBISHI SUPER GREAT from Japan, check the exact model code, engine, transmission, axle configuration, maximum loading capacity, body dimensions, mileage, and installed equipment. For tractor heads, trailer compatibility should also be confirmed.
