NISSAN CONDOR
The Nissan Condor name covers several generations and a wide range of commercial truck specifications. Many older Condor models were developed and manufactured by Nissan Diesel, later known as UD Trucks. Because the lineup evolved considerably over time, buyers should identify the exact model code and engine rather than treating every Condor as the same truck.
The UD-developed Condor range included the MK series at around the 8-ton GVW class, followed by larger LK, PK, and PW series. In the 2010-era generation, Condor trucks adopted GH-series diesel engines, including the GH5 and GH7, depending on model. Earlier Japanese used vehicles can have very different engines and chassis specifications. For example, EVERYCAR.jp listings have included MK-series trucks with 4.67-liter and 6.9-liter-class diesel engines, as well as larger PK models. The PB-MK36A is another model found in the used market and was equipped with the approximately 6.4-liter / 6,400 cc J07E diesel engine in certain specifications. Body configuration is one of the Condor's main strengths in the used-truck market. Japanese examples can be found as flatbeds, dumps, wing bodies, box vans, refrigerated or freezer trucks, cranes, mixers, car carriers, self-loaders, and other specialized vehicles. This allows buyers to select a chassis and body combination suited to cargo transport, construction materials, equipment handling, or temperature-controlled delivery.
When comparing a used Nissan Condor from Japan, check the model code, engine model, GVW and payload, wheelbase, transmission, axle configuration, and body dimensions. For specialized trucks, inspect the crane, dump mechanism, refrigeration equipment, or other fitted machinery separately. Mileage, maintenance records, chassis condition, and corrosion should also be considered.
