Uganda Revenue Authority states that Uganda's Traffic and Road Safety Act prohibits the importation of motor vehicles that are 15 years or older from the year of manufacture.

However, vehicle category can affect how customs and other rules apply. A kei truck is a goods-carrying vehicle, so buyers should confirm the exact classification and current eligibility of the individual vehicle before shipment.

Pre-Export Roadworthiness Inspection

Uganda National Bureau of Standards requires used motor vehicles to have a Certificate of Road Worthiness (CRW) from the country of origin/export under the Pre-Export Verification of Conformity program.
