Kobelco's current Japanese SK200-10 specification identifies a Hino J05E-VA engine, while the original 2017 Japanese launch announcement listed a Hino J05E-UM. This means a buyer considering an SK200-10 should think about more than engine condition. Older SK200 generations use different emissions technology, so the correct model and serial number matter when planning future service.

Kobelco often publishes the SK200 together with the SK210LC. They are related, but they should not be treated as identical.

The current Japanese specification lists the SK200-10 at 20,500 kg and the SK210LC-10 at 20,900 kg with standard shoes. Crawler dimensions also differ. With 600 mm shoes, Kobelco lists overall crawler width at 2,800 mm for the SK200 and 2,990 mm for the SK210LC.

The longer LC undercarriage can be relevant where stability and ground contact are priorities, but it also changes transport dimensions and weight.

Always check whether a listing is SK200 or SK210LC rather than assuming the two names describe the same chassis.

Lifting: Use the Correct Configuration and Chart

The standard SK200 should not be assigned one universal lifting-capacity figure.

Kobelco publishes a dedicated high-reach crane specification for the SK200-10. Under that specific configuration, the manufacturer lists maximum rated stationary lifting of 2.9 tonnes through specified radii up to 6.0 m, and 1.4 tonnes for travelling lift under the defined crane conditions.

Those figures apply to the manufacturer's crane specification, not to every standard bucket excavator.
