“Mercedes-AMG GLB35 4MATIC” will land in Japan. On January 12, 2021, Mercedes-Benz Japan announced the domestic introduction of the high-performance model “Mercedes-Benz AMG GLB35 4MATIC” of “Mercedes-Benz GLB” and started accepting pre-orders. It has been announced that delivery will start around the end of January.
The Mercedes-AMG GLB35 4MATIC is the sixth model in the “Mercedes-AMG 35” series, which is lined up in Mercedes’ new generation FF platform vehicles. Similar to the previously introduced “A35 4MATIC”, “CLA35 4MATIC” and “GLA35 4MATIC”, the high-power engine, 4WD drive train, and chassis with special settings realize a high level of driving performance while impairing comfort. The feature is that consideration is given so that there is no such thing. The power unit placed horizontally on the front is a 2-liter straight-four turbo “M260” engine that produces a maximum output of 306PS and a maximum torque of 400Nm. The transmission is combined with an 8-stage dual clutch AT “AMG Speedshift DCT”. The drive system is a torque variable distribution type 4WD “AMG 4MATIC” that uses an electromechanical control type multi-plate clutch. The torque is continuously variably distributed in the range from 100: 0 to 50:50 in the front-rear direction by referring to the vehicle speed, acceleration in the front-rear and left-right directions, steering angle, rotational speed difference between each wheel, gear position, accelerator opening, etc.
