SUBARU unveiled "Ascent" for the preview event of the 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show held in the United States on November 28.
"Ascent" is a new Subaru SUV, developed as a main target for North American family users. At present it is regarded as a car dedicated to the North American market.
It becomes a commercial version of "Ascent SUV Concept", and it is positioned as a successor to the conventional "Tribeca".
The exterior emphasizes the functionality that is emphasized as 3 rows mid size SUV under Subaru's design philosophy "Dynamic & Solid".
Utilizing the body size that is the largest with Subaru cars, we are pursuing a spacious indoor space with either seven or eight riding passenger specifications.
And adopted Subaru Global Platform.
High body stiffness enabled a comfortable moving space with reduced vibration noise.
Subaru Ascent is planned to be produced at Subaru of Indian Automotive within the United States from now on.
Sales will begin in early summer 2018.
