BMW took full model change of the new X5 and started selling on February 27, 2019.
The new BMW X5 platform adopts a new lightweight platform CLAR using CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Resin) etc. adopted for the new 7 series and the new 5 series which are launched as a pioneer to be introduced to the new X3 . Weight reduction by carbon fiber, high strength steel, aluminum, magnesium and plastic, weight reduction of about 15.5 kg. The dynamic damper control system is equipped as standard, and 4-wheel steering and limited slip rear differential can be selected for better driving performance. Air suspension is adopted as off-road package (M Sport option).
