The name of HILUX is compound HIGH and LUXURY. This car is the third generation, it released in September, 1978. It suggested that we used the small pickup for a substitute for car and recreation like the United States. This car the third generation were given equipment and ride comfort like sedan car. As for the front suspension, a spring was changed from the coil to the torsion bar as a double wishbone type. It adopted a front disc brake than deluxe as standard equipment.
