Global logistics and energy markets are once again facing major uncertainty.

Due to rising tensions in the Middle East, fuel prices have increased, and there is growing concern that shipping costs for both RORO and container vessels may also rise in the coming months.

There have already been reports of attacks on multiple vessels, including Japanese container ships, in and around the Strait of Hormuz. As a result, shipping routes connected to Dubai and the wider Middle East may change significantly. In other words, the global shipping environment may be entering another major turning point.

We experienced the global financial crisis after the Lehman Shock. We worked through the era of extreme yen appreciation, when the exchange rate reached around JPY 80 to USD 1. We adapted to the sharp rise in used vehicle prices after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the market decline that followed the end of eco-car tax incentives. We also overcame the severe shortage of shipping space and the sharp increase in freight costs during the COVID-19 period.

Each of these events created serious pressure on our business. Yet EVERY continued moving forward.

The reason is simple. We have never been a company that waits for problems to disappear. Instead, we focus on what we can do in the middle of difficulty, and we keep taking action.

By combining the customer reach of EVERYCAR.jp with a significantly expanded auction vehicle selection, we believe the value of EVERY will grow even further as a platform for searching Japanese vehicles.
