Volkswagen unveiled the new "ID.5" and "ID.5 GTX" SUV coupe electric vehicles for the first time in the world on November 3, 2021 (local time). It will be available throughout Europe in the first quarter of 2022.
Volkswagen expands its electrical products by adding ID.5, an SUV coupe version of the existing ID.4. Compact size ID.5, which is a sister model of the similar shaped Audi "Q4 e-tron Sportback" and "Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV". Added a sporty sloping roofline that holds many of the same styling details that make ID.4 and heads it. There are some clues borrowed from the base ID.5, a sportier VW model, as it is considered to be a sportier coupe corresponding to ID.4 (Immediately comes to mind the Golf R-style " It is a "disconnected" front intake). ID.5 GTX is ID.4 GTX while receiving the same muscle design. In addition, all ID.5 trims ensure that the sloping roofline flows into the functional rear spoiler. With a total length of 4599 mm, a total width of 1,852 mm, a total height of 1,612 mm, a wheelbase of 2,766 mm, and an air resistance coefficient of 0.27 Cd, it has a higher drag coefficient (Pro and Pro Performance are 0.26 Cd).
