HINO DUTRO is a 1.5-ton-3 ton class light-duty and medium-duty truck manufactured and sold by Hino Motors.
HINO DUTRO was announced in May 1999 to strengthen the full lineup of Hino Motors in the truck field. It has a parallel hybrid specification in its lineup, and is being introduced as a garbage truck and a small collection and delivery vehicle of a major transportation company.
HINO DUTRO purchased by this customer is the second generation.
The full model change was carried out on July 2, 2011 for the first time in 12 years. It is OEM-supplied to TOYOTA as DYNA / TOYOACE following the first generation.
As for the engine, the high-pressure common rail fuel injection system and DPR have been renewed, and five types of diesel engines that have improved fuel efficiency and further cleaned exhaust gas, as well as a gasoline engine and an LPG engine are available. Hino's clean diesel system "AIR LOOP" was adopted for the exhaust gas treatment equipment, and diesel vehicles complied with the 2010 emission regulations.
Three types of transmissions are available: 6-speed AT, 5-speed MT, and 6-speed MT. In addition, Hino Eco-Run, which supports idling stop function and eco-driving, is standard equipment on hybrid and diesel MT vehicles, contributing to improved practical fuel efficiency.
In terms of safety, the pillar cross section is made as thin as possible while maintaining strength, and a wide view mirror that ensures a wide and easy-to-see view and a two-sided mirror that contributes to the prevention of entanglement accidents by expanding the view behind the side of the vehicle are standard equipment. The world's first VSC (Electronic Stability Control) option setting has been added for light trucks. In addition, the operation method of the exhaust brake of the column lever has been changed from the flip-up type to the pull-down type.
2WD vehicles use all-wheel disc brakes, and 4WD vehicles use front-wheel discs / rear-wheel drums.
